Please refer to this help file when you sign up for an account to discover the unique features of the Office Angel Traffic Exchange and before contacting Office Angel as most general questions are covered here.
After you sign up you will receive an email containing an activation link that you must click in order to verify that your email address is valid and gain access to your new account. You may need to adjust your email filters so this message can get through. If you surf 70 sites and earn a minimum of 49 credits (not including bonus credits) within your first week of joining, you keep the 500 signup credits and your sites will be considered for approved quicker, otherwise your sites will be considered for approval after one week and you will lose the 500 signup credits.
You can get to the Traffic Exchange login page from the site by selecting the login link located under the Free Traffic menu in the left column.
For better performance and increased security, it is highly recommended that you make sure to Log Out of your account before leaving the site!
Your start surf url allows you to surf without being logged into your account and can be obtained from your activation email or the member area. Do NOT show this link in other traffic exchange surfbars. You can right click the link and add it to your bookmarks or favorites, or make it your browser's home page. If you open it and then decide to bookmark it, you need to do so before surfing past the first site in rotation to avoid bookmarking the wrong url. You can also click 'Start Surfing' from within your member area to begin surfing.
Once you have opened your surf link you will either be in manual mode or auto surf mode. In manual mode you will need to click the 'Next' link in the bottom frame to go to each site. In Auto Surf mode a new site will automatically appear after the timer has counted down to zero. Pay attention to your screen and find bonus game pages and Surfbar Bonuses! The more sites you view, the more hits you can earn for your own sites.
The surfbar will be in manual surf mode the first time you surf, and at the beginning of each week on Mondays until you have surfed enough sites. Then the surfbar automatically switches to auto surf mode so manual clicks are not waisted on non-unique views.
You can stay in manual surf mode as long as you want by using the information displayed in your browser's title bar as a guide. While in manual mode, your browser's title bar will display a number that counts down approximately how many clicks you have left to manual surf before manual surf mode ends. This figure is updated live and therefore may fluctuate as other members earn credits or run out of credits.
After you manual surfed enough sites to reach auto surf mode, you can stay in auto surf mode for up to one week if you get started on Mondays and surf daily using the information displayed in your browser's title bar as a guide. While in auto surf mode, The title bar will display approximately how many sites you need to surf to stay in auto surf mode for the next day. Once you have surfed enough to stay in auto surf mode, the title bar message will change to inform you of this. However, please note that these figures are not exact in the fact that if the number of active sites increases the following day. So you should surf a bit over the amount required if you prefer to stay in auto surf mode.
The auto timer ranges between 14 - 30 seconds so viewers have time to check out your offers and take action before the next site appears. The manual timer ranges between 10-20 seconds since the surfer must make a conscious effort to leave your site.
You earn 0.7 credits for each site you view. Credits are automatically added to your account and assigned to your sites according to your weight percentage settings.
Your ratio will increase significantly as you collect bonus credits! You get a full 24 hours to get Surfbar bonuses so you do not lose them if you end your session and come back hours later to surf more! The intervals change frequently to keep the surfer's attention so check the news announcements on the login page frequently for the current number of sites you need to surf to win.
Example: Member surfs 100 sites and wins 180 bonus credits in addition to the 70 basic earned credits for a total of 200 credits, raising the ratio to 1:2.5 for this member!
The amount of bonus credits you win is contingent upon your membership level. Free members receive 30% for a 1:1 ratio. Check the account upgrade comparison chart for more information.
You never need to worry that you will miss your bonus credits because the site rotation will wait until you click the bonus link displayed in the surfbar to claim the bonus credits before surfing can resume. If your session times out because you failed to click the bonus credits link it should appear once again when you start your next session. This curbs unattended and minimized surfing so your credits are used to show your sites to a live and alert audience.
TIP: If you need to multitask but want to keep your eye out for the bonus credits so you can keep surfing, then try tiling your windows horizontally so all windows are always visible! To tile windows, right click a blank area of your start menu bar. It is not advisable to tile more than three windows and you will be unable to continue earning credits if you attempt to run the surf window minimized.
Office Angel Traffic Exchange Bonus Credit Game Pages are randomly displayed to surfers periodically that are worth up to 500 credits! Simply follow the instructions on the page to claim the credits.
You earn credits every time a new person visits any of your referral links. There are text links and banners available from the Promotion Center in the member area that you can advertise in other traffic exchanges, link to from your own site or advertise in classifieds.
Top surfers can win lots more free credits during Top Surfer contests! Check the news announcements often for dates and details.
Example: a member views 1000 sites and earns the basic 700 credits plus 1,300 surfbar bonus credits, plus 500 Bonus Game Credits, plus 500 Top Surfer credits for a total of 3,000 credits, raising the ratio to 1:3 for this member!
When your referrals surf you automatically earn more free credits for each site they view. Free members earn 5% upgraded members earn more.
Example: You refer 10 members who each surf 100 sites. As a free member you would earn 50 credits without any effort on your part!
Top Referrers can receive hundreds of free referral sign up credits for each direct referral during Top Referrer contests in addition to the usual percentage earned from referrals when they surf! Check the news and announcements for dates of top referral contests and the amount of credits being awarded to referrers.
Upgraded members and Honorary free members may be eligible to receive spillover referrals added to their downline for free! Honorary members are those who regularly surf and promote heavily and have not broken any of the Office Angel Traffic Exchange rules or had any of their sites legitimately reported for a period of at least 1 month!
The first person to accurately report a Terms Breaker site will be awarded 100 free credits! Examples of Term Breaker Sites include but are not limited to: Frame Breakers, Dialog Box Pop-Ups, non-closing Slide-In or Pop-In Ads, Multiple Pop-Up Windows or any popup window that cannot be blocked by browser popup blockers, Inappropriate Content not suitable for family viewing. Refer to the Office Angel Traffic Exchange Policies for more details on what type sites you should report.
Members can receive hundreds or thousands of hits from sponsor links. Sponsor links are puchased to run weekly, monthly, quarterly or semi-annually.
While it is easy enough to earn credits it does require your time, attention and computer resources. Special promotions and new programs require heavy exposure for best results. Sometimes it simply is not possible to meet these demands even if you surfed 24 hours a day. The truth is, 5 hours of surfing could earn a free member 600 hits but would cost as little as $0.60 cents in US currency at regular price!
Office Angel frequently offers special discounts on bulk credits and will either notify you by email or post them in the news announcements. Click Here to check current credit prices. You can also check credit prices any time from within the members area by clicking the buy credits link! Currently, purchases are instantly processed securely online through paypal. A paypal membership is free but Not required in order to make purchases and major credit cards are also accepted.
You have set and forget credit control over which sites are shown and how often by setting the percentage of hits accordingly. Once you have set your percentages, you do not have to login and assign credits because they will automatically be assigned according to those settings. You can change these settings anytime. If you have a page down for maintenance and do not want that page shown simply adjust the percentage to zero. The sum of percentages must equal 100% for all sites combined.
example: you have 5 sites and you want site #1 to be shown twice as often as sites 2 through 4 and you are working on site 5 and do not want it shown until you have it ready. Set site 1 to 40% and sites 2 through 4 to 20% each and site 5 to 0% for a total of 100%.
Currently members can save credits to sites that have been approved by clicking the edit link beside the appropriate site on the main members page, however if there are no active pages in the system to display to surfers, then sites that are saving credits will be shown. It is good practice to save no more than 50% of your credits.
You can see how many pages you have surfed over the past 24 hours server time in the member area. The figure shown is how many sites you have viewed.
It is surprising how many surfers do not take a few seconds to check their sites. You only need to do this once unless you change the url or the content of the site. Checking your site can prevent waisting credits. If there is a typo error in the url and you do not test that site, you could be spending credits rotating a 404 error page! So before anything like this happens Please test your sites!
Right click to test your site in a new window. Your site will be displayed in the bottom frame. After your page has finished loading click the 'Test Exit' link in the top frame. If an Office Angel page appears in the bottom frame and you did not get any popup dialog boxes throughout the process, your site will probably be approved. You may close the window and proceed accordingly.
Sites are listed on your account home page. Click the X to delete a site. Credits assigned to that site will automatically be re-distributed to your other sites according to their percentages. If you are only promoting one site, edit the url or add another and adjust percentages before deleting so the credits will be not be lost.

You can view your stats live from the member area. If the figures have not changed after surfing you may need to clear your browser cache. You can also set your browser preferences to check for updated version of sites every time the page is loaded so you will not have to manually clear the cache.
Your member area contains a link to your Affiliate Promotion Center with complete instructions on different methods of promoting your referral links. Never use spam to promote your referral url.
Your account may be docked credits and the credits awarded to legitimate abuse reporters in the event your sites violate the Traffic Exchange Policies. If your site breaks the rules more than three times within one month, your site(s) or account could be deleted. This only applies to minor violations such as sites containing frame breaker code, unblockable popups or site rotators etc.
Serious violations of the Terms or Policies such as illegal activity, using spam to promote your referral link, falsifying account information, spreading viruses, harassment etc. will have their membership revoked immediately, and their IP address banned from this site, and may also be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Login to the member area and delete your sites. Once the last site is removed your account will automatically be deleted.
Dormant abandoned accounts over 90 days may be terminated if disk space or database size requires. If you cancel your account or if it is terminated you will lose all unused credits and will no longer earn credits from referrals for that account.
